Room Change!
The August 27th,
2000 meeting will be held in Room
7520. It is on the Eastside of KVCC
with access from the Northeast corner of the building. Drive around the building to the lower parking
lot. There will be signs that say
Permit Parking only. That is suspended
for this meeting and you can park anywhere.
The October 1st,
November 5th and, December 3rd meetings will be held in Room 1510 Gallery. A map will be in the next newsletter.
If construction
remains on schedule, we will be back in Room 9310 in the Technology
Applications Center in January 2001.
Open House
Hilltop Orchids,
has invited Dunes-Kalamazoo Orchid Society members to their 5th annual Open
House. The dates are Saturday August
19th and Sunday August 20th. 11AM -
'til? They are located in Cloverdale IN
west of Indianapolis. There will be
speakers both days. Contact John G.

successful show season. Larry received
the following AOS Awards for his orchids:

tenebrosum 'Linda AM/AOS, 85 points.
2) Epilaelia
Seagull's Macaw (L. milleri x Epi. radiatum) 'Kristina" HCC/AOS, 78
points.
3) Phalaenopsis
Venetian Festival (Thelma Groff x Rio's Missy) 'Livio' CCM/AOS, 83 points.
4) Phalaenopsis
(Brother Delight x violacea) 'Marian' HCC/AOS, 79 points.
If you have not
contributed refreshments recently, please offer to bring them this fall. We need 2 or 3 providers each month. You do not need to furnish beverages or
paper products, and grocery (vs. homemade) baked goods, etc., are perfectly
fine. If you will not be at the August
meeting but are willing to sign up to bring refreshments in October or November
