Meeting:
The
meeting this month is a social gathering, with finger food. There is a requirement by the college not to
server meals – so we are required to make the potluck dishes of the finger food
variety. Please bring
plates and silverware. Beverages will
be provided. Those that can arrive as
early as 1:00 pm are free to do so.
Television Special:
PBS 35/52 will have the Nova program
'Orchid Hunter' on at 8PM on Tuesday December 9th, 2003.
Dues:
It is that time again; dues for 2004 are
now payable - $10 for a single member, $ 15 for a member and spouse.
TREASURER’S
REPORT:
Treasurer's Report as of November 28, 2003:
Thanks go to Shirley for handling the
treasurer's duties at the October meeting.
She collected $155.00 in dues, $20.00 from the plant auction, $10.00
from refreshment donations, and $1.50 from the sale of culture sheets for a
total of $186.50. An additional $15.00
for dues was mailed to me for a total of , which was deposited in the checking
account on Nov. 26. The only expense
this month was $40.26 paid to John Talpa for two floor lamps to use at
shows. Our savings account remains at and our checking account is at .
If you have not already paid your dues
please try to do so in December. You
may bring them to the meeting or mail them to Ginnie Hessler, 2503 Lomond Dr.,
Kalamazoo, MI 49008. The cost remains
at $10 per person or $15 for a couple--a real bargain!
